Terms & Conditions

Please arrive 10 minutes before your allocated time slot.

Bowling Lanes will only be held for 10 minutes, if you miss your time slot you will be put onto the next available lane.

These Terms and Conditions (together with the Alley Rules and Privacy Policy) set out the terms on which you agree to take part in any of the activities at Ace of Lanes Bowling Alley (the “Conditions”).

Please read the Conditions carefully before participating in any of the Activities. By taking part in the Activities you confirm that you accept the Conditions and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these Conditions, you/your child must not take part in any Activities at the alley.

ACE OF LANES BOWLING

The activities are provided by Fraser Capital Investments LTD, trading as Ace of Lanes which is a limited liability partnership incorporated in England and Wales under Company No: 10986831 and whose registered office address is at 4 Anchor Street Leisure Park, Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, CM23 3BP.

Ace of Lanes reserves the right to limit the availability of and/or change any of its activities at any time.

Ace of Lanes will not be held responsible for the loss or damage to any of your personal belongings during your visit to the alley.

If you or any member of your group causes any damage to any of the alley's facilities, fixtures, or fittings then you will be liable for the costs of repairing such damage. The cost of any such repairs will be charged to the person responsible for the booking.

Ace of Lanes staff are not responsible for supervising you or your children at any time, regardless of the child's age. An adult must be present to supervise, on the lanes whilst juniors are bowling.

Flat rubber soled shoes are to be worn to bowl.

CHALLENGE 25

As a company we operate Challenge 25 - if you or anyone in your group are lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked to prove that you are aged 18 or over when you buy alcohol or order alcohol within the package.

Acceptable forms of ID: Original cards bearing the PASS hologram, Photographic driving licence or Passport (originals only.) Age admittance Please note Ace of Lanes is a family friendly venue. Before 8pm anyone age 16 or under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

After 8pm anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 21 (at the discretion of management).

Please be aware from September 1st Ace of Lanes will over 18’s only in Friday and Saturday evenings from 8pm.

ID may be required if necessary.

BOOKINGS

Bookings will only be considered final when full payment has been made and an official receipt or e-mail confirmation has been issued by Ace of Lanes. It is your responsibility to check the accuracy of your booking confirmation and report any mistake to Ace of Lanes within 24 hours of receiving the confirmation. Ace of Lanes shall use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that your booking commences at the time slot allocated, however, it is your responsibility to ensure that you and the members of your group arrive on time. It is recommended that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your allocated time slot to allow to comply with all registration formalities.

Ace of Lanes is not under any obligation to offer any refunds for pre-purchased bowling time. If you have pre-purchased bowling time, you may not exchange your allocated time slot for another, unless permitted in writing by a manager of Ace of Lanes.

Bookings are only valid only for the date and time shown and are void if tampered with. The tickets remain the property of Ace of Lanes and are strictly non-transferable.

Ace of Lanes honour any bookings where full payment has already been made.

Ace of Lanes shall be entitled to cancel your booking at any time. If Ace of Lanes cancels your booking, it shall use all reasonable endeavours to notify you as soon as possible. In the event of a cancellation by Ace of Lanes, you shall be entitled to a full refund or the option to reschedule, but no other compensation shall be payable.

Nothing in these Conditions shall limit or exclude Ace of Lanes liability for: death or personal injury caused by its negligence, or the negligence of its employees or agents; or fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

SAFETY

Ace of Lanes do not take responsibility for unsupervised under 18’s, they must always be supervised. Ace of Lanes do not condone children running around the venue as this could cause injury to themselves or others.

When bowling please abide by the safety rules.

  • Do not put your hands into the ball return, please wait for a ball to return and stop moving before picking it up.

  • If a ball is stuck on the lane, please make a member of staff aware and they will help you. Do not go onto the lane.

  • Do not step over the white line, the lanes are coated in oil and are very slippery. Stepping onto the lanes could result in serious injury.

  • Only one person is allowed on the bowling platform at any one time, unless a child needs an adult’s support with bowling.

  • Please ensure children are picking up light balls as if they drop a ball on their feet, it will cause injury.

  • Players or parents supporting young children must wear flat closed in toe shoes such as trainers. You can collect bowling shoes from reception.

CHILDREN’S BIRTHDAY PARTIES

The Ace Management regret that they cannot accept responsibility for groups of children, therefore it is mandatory that one parent, guardian or responsible persons aged 18 is present for every 4 children attending for the duration of the birthday party to ensure you have the most enjoyable experience possible. 

 Ace of Lanes draw the attention of party organisers to the fact that bowling balls handled incorrectly or dropped may cause injury. It remains the responsibility of the party organisers (parents or guardians) to ensure that children/teens are supervised in a way to avoid the possibility of any accident or injury from this cause or any other.

Please inform your group of the following:

CUSTOMER CONDUCT

Any verbal or physical abuse towards members of staff either on the phone, via social media, email or in person will not be tolerated. This will result in an automatic life ban.

PERSONAL DATA

Ace of Lanes will process any information that we collect from you in accordance with our Privacy Policy which is available on request or from our website.

GOVERNING LAW

These Conditions and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with these Conditions or its subject matter or formation.
